Sun 28 Aug - TRACKS

Tracks is the jazz-rock fusion band formed in the late 70's which led on to the formation of Shakatak. Tracks features current Shakatak members Bill Sharpe (keys) and Roger Odell (drs) with ex-member Keith Winter (gtr) plus Martin Elliot (bs). For this Jazznights gig they will play an "acoustic" version of their repertoire.

Sun 11 Sep - ANITA WARDELL (voc)

With a career dating back to the 1990s, Anita has enjoyed more than two decades of success and last year she was pronounced Best Jazz Vocalist at the British Jazz Awards. She has made many critically acclaimed albums whilst commanding the respect of her peers and she has a brand new CD out now called "The Road" on the Specific Jazz label.

Born in Naples 1959. Renato started his professional career playing with the Giovanni Tommaso big band and then he received a full tuition scolarship from Berklee college of Boston. International tours followed with Tony Scott, Art Farmer and Renato toured Japan with Yoshida Masahiro trio. “Renato is a superlative saxophonist". Ian Carr.

Sun 23 Oct - LUCA LUCIANO (clt)

“Masterful Clarinet! Luca is a noted Italian clarinettist and composer based in London, having developed an enviable reputation as an instrumental virtuoso around the UK and overseas via recordings and concert hall appearances” - The Musician. A former clarinet professor in the UK and as a recording artist his solo albums have received much critical acclaim.

A veteran of the UK jazz scene, Stan Sulzmann has a rich and varied career that has included playing with musicians as diverse as Gil Evans, Michael Brecker, Kenny Wheeler, Larry Grenadier, Gwilym Simcock and many others as well as having a prolific output as a bandleader. Sun 20 Nov - CHRISTIAN BREWER (sax)

Christian Brewer is a well known jazz saxophonist/composer/educator and he has been a leading voice on the alto saxophone for over 20 years having played at top clubs and festivals worldwide with Peter King (UK), Bob Martin (USA), Dmitry Baevsky (Russia), Tito Alcedo (Spain), Yutaka Shiina (Japan), Jos Matchel (Holland) amongst many.

Sun 04 Dec - ESTELLE KOKOT (voc)

Estelle returned to London after touring South Africa between February 2014 and January 2015 introducing the music of Chico Freeman and Jan Pulsford to a new audience. She recorded The Sound of You album in November 2014 with Chico Freeman on saxophones, Herbie Tsoaeli on bass and Kevin Gibson on drums in Cape Town.
