Sunday 26th May - ADAM GLASSER (harm)
This award-winning Jazz harmonica and keyboard player grew up in South Africa and is currently London-based. Adam has played with artists such as Martha Reeves, Hugh Masekela and Dominic Miller. He won the 2010 SAMA Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album and his current album Mzansi has been nominated Best Jazz Album at the 2012 SAMA Awards.

Sunday 9th June - SIMON SPILLETT (sax)

Originally influenced by the great Tubby Hayes, Simon has since forged an original style which adds a contemporary touch to the grand tradition of modern jazz saxophone. A winner of the Britich Jazz Award for Tenor Saxophone in 2011 he had already won Rising Star in the BBC Jazz Awards for 2007 and his CD "Sienna Red" won the Jazz CD award in 2009.

Sunday 23rd June - NICOLAS MEIER (gtr)

This superb guitarist won the Grand Prize of the Jury and the Jazz Guitar Prize at the Jazz a Juan Revelations 2006 and after a few years in Boston, USA Nicolas now lives in the UK where he leads his own band. "Meier opts for an attractive acoustic tone somewhere between a lute, an oud and Django Reinhardt's guitar". John Fordham - the Guardian.

Thursday 4th July - JAZZNIGHTS @ THE BURES FESTIVAL

Jazznights presents a special jazz evening taking the form of a "Cherry Tree" presentation as part of the Bures Festival. Larraine Odell & the Jazznights Trio will get things moving in the time-honoured fashion followed by a set from the Simon Hurley Quartet. Sunday 7th July - GILAD ATZMON (saxes)

Never a dull moment when Gilad is around!  A monster musician on both saxophone and clarinet, his previous performances at Jazznights have always been among the highlights of the year. His busy schedule includes international touring with the Orient House Ensemble and his "Charlie Parker with Strings project".

Sunday 21st July - CARLOS LOPEZ-REAL (sax)

After Oxford University and the Guildhall School of Music, Carlos then studied with David Liebman in New York. For the past 7 years he has been professor of contemporary jazz and rhythm studies at the Guildhall and has led workshops up and down the country. "Carlos plays with a sound that comes from his soul". Dave Liebman.

The fabulous TINA MAY headlines the evening session which runs from 7pm until 10.30pm. Adm £12.

Sunday 1st Sept - ROGER BEAUJOLAIS (vbs)

Probably the most well-known and popular of the UK's jazz vibraphone players, Roger has established himself as a leader of his own bands, a sideman in many top UK groups and as a contributor to many bands associated with the Acid Jazz movement. Echos of all the great vibes players from Lionel Hampton through Milt Jackson to Gary Burton and beyond.

Sunday 15th Sept - LAURA ZAKIAN (voc)

"Songs For Modern Lovers" is Laura's new project. While the repertoire is broad, it is still rooted in the best of jazz and inspired by the iconic Frank Sinatra album "Songs for Swinging Lovers". "Laura Zakian sings in intimate, measured tones and puts across each song she tackles with warmth and conviction". Jazz Journal.

Sunday 29th Sept - SUE RICHARDSON (trp & voc)

This superb trumpet player and vocalist will feature tracks from her Tribute To Chet Baker CD "Too Cool" as recently presented at Ronnie Scott's Club and in concert throughout the UK. "Excellent technique and a remarkable command of a variety of styles. She sings with a musician's phrasing" The Observer. "It's a very good CD and she has a new fan" Michael Parkinson.

As a result of a high recommendation from Emily Dankworth the young jazz singer Ben Cox makes his debut at Jazznights. He is currently studying jazz voice at the Guildhall and along with Emily he is a member of the amazing six part close-harmony A Cappella group 'Vive'. Male UK jazz singers have been few and far between until recently - that's about to change!

Zoë Gilby is a UK jazz vocalist and songwriter who has been making a real impression on the jazz scene today with influences that include Carmen McRae, Nancy Wilson, Sheila Jordan and Roberta Gambarini. "An impressive performance from a sophisticated young singer. Her voice has real character. Powerfully sultry and expertly handled” Jazz Journal International.
